Once again in this lesson we start with a review of לשמור type verbs. After that we show you how to use a dictionary to find the definitions of verb. You learn that what you need to know about the verb is its “third person, masculine singular, past tense, ” or in simple terms הוא in the past tense in order to use a Hebrew to English dictionary efficiently. That is the form we’ll be looking for and not the root.

Assignment: Complete the exercise and practice looking for the “3rd person, past tense, masculine singular” in the dictionary. I like the “Oxford,” paperback, English/Hebrew, Hebrew/English.
